Background:
Originally from Gainesville, FL, Heather has been riding both english and western for 15 years. She has shown IBHA, PHBA,
APHA, & AQHA. In 2000, she was the national overall highpoint 14-18 youth in PHBA. She also holds several IBHA & PHBA
reserve world and world championships. She is a religious studies and sociology major, with law school aspirations.

Background: Katina Mitchell is from San Diego, CA, where she trained huntseat for years. After taking
a long break from riding, she is thrilled to be a part of the Equestrian Team at Rice. Katina is a freshman at Martel college,
and she is a voice major at the Shepherd School of Music.

Background:
Elizabeth, originally from Laurel, Maryland, has been riding and showing
with Brad Fincher at Hunter Crest Farm for 10 years. She has competed in AHSA and MHSA shows, riding in both the hunter and
equitation divisions. She is now (slowly) learning to ride Western, and she looks forward to riding and showing two young
horses at home this summer.

Background:
Kelly Bacon hails from Dayton, Tennessee. She is a Political Science major and is also earning a teaching certification
in Social Studies. She trains with Lisa Brown and Louis Hufnagel of Nashville, TN. She has been competing in AQHA shows
since 1992. Her parents are Dr. Stuart and Kathy Bacon ; she has two older sisters, Erica and Jill.

Jenny, originally from Mobile, Alabama, is a chemical engineering major. She has been riding casually for ten years and seriously
training in eventing and dresage for the past two. In eventing, she competed at the Beinner Novice level where she qualified
for the 2004 Area II Eventing Championships. She has worked as a summer camp riding instructor for several years.
